Horse Shooter Arrested

A half breed by the name of Pelette, was arraigned last week, before Justice PARKS, on a charge of willfully and maliciously shooting at, and maiming a horse, belonging to one of the Indians of the White River band.  The Court sentenced Pelette, to pay a fine of ten dollars, and in the case of non-payment, to be committed to Jail for the term of fifteen days. We think the Judgment of the Court in the case, rather lenient.
