When Mac and Teddy Have Won the Day.

BY DAVID FLETCHER HUNTON.

Air:  “When Johnny comes marching home.”

When Mac and Teddy have won the day,

Hurrah, Hurrah!

We’ll celebrate in the good old way,

Hurrah, Hurrah!

We’ll close the stores, and shut up shop,

The wheels of industry will stop,

And we’ll all enthuse,

When Mac and Teddy have won.

We’ll float “Old Glory” everywhere,

Hurrah, Hurrah!

And music sweet will fill the air,

Hurrah, Hurrah!

We’ll ring the bells, and boom the gun,

And have a carnival of fun,

And we’ll shout and cheer,

For Mac and Roosevelt.

We’ll have a royal jubilee,

Hurrah, Hurrah!

A red hot time ‘twill surely be,

Hurrah, Hurrah!

God bless the ladies, for they say,

With roses sweet they’ll strew the way,

And we’ll all be gay,

When Mac and Teddy have won.

We’ll braid a wreath of laurel now,

Hurrah, Hurrah!

To bind upon each victor’s brow,

Hurrah, Hurrah!

We’ll cheer for Smith, and A. T. Bliss,

William Kelley, we will not miss,

And give three times three,

For Mac and Roosevelt.
